Lextran

Strong Tower Construction’s project, Lextran (Lexington, KY Transit Authority)  provided Kawneer 1600 Curtainwall and Kawneer 451T Storefront in a clear anodized finish along with Centria Panels for the Administration Building and its sister façade ‘Knight-wall’ System on the Maintenance Building, both in a Silversmith finish. The Curtainwalls were enhanced by the choice of aluminum Sunshades by Construction Specialties, Products over the Curtainwalls. The storefront framing was continued on the interiors of the Administration Bldg., with Kawneer 451T system Storefront and Interior Doors and sidelites. The 54,000 square foot Lextran Transit Authority Building is comprised of a 2 story Administration Bldg and a Maintenance Building, with smaller satellite Buildings on site for vehicle Fuel and Wash. The project was aggressively scheduled and Koch worked to coordinate the Metal Panels and Curtainwall / Storefront with the fast-paced structure interior fit-out installation. The look of the buildings is a mix of Industrial with sleek slim Framed Curtainwall / Storefront. It presents a modern look for a new-age Transit Authority.
